About Us

My husband and I have owned and been involved with Rottweilers since 1985.  We have been committee members of the London & South East Rottweiler Club, with the position of secretary being held for 3 years.   We are currently committee members of the Dorset County Canine Society.

As at April 2007, we have five rottweilers, one male and four bitches; three of these have been bred by us.  They are all real sweeties with lovely temperaments.  Our interests include not only showing but training/obedience classes where they and us have some enjoyment and socialization.

We aim to put our dogs through the appropriate Temperament /character tests which are organized by Breed Clubs and two of our dogs have gained ‘Excellent’ in this test. Of the remaining three, one achieved a Pass but this test was conducted in a different manner to that of the other two dogs.  The other two are youngsters who will go through this test with the passage of time.

All our dogs are Hip Scored and have achieved well below the ‘Mean Score’ (ie: 13) which is recommended by the British Veterinary Association.  Elbow scoring has recently been introduced to ensure continued improvement in the breed and this is now included in our screening process.  No bitch will be bred by us unless a score of 1 or below is achieved.  Rosie, one of our bitches has achieved a 0:0 elbow score.

We occasionally breed and this is done in strict accordance with Rottweiler Breed clubs’ codes of ethics.  We aim to achieve breed standard and any stud dog used has to be, in our opinion, of very good temperament.  The conditions in which any puppies are reared are excellent. Both my husband and I are retired and therefore have the time and patience to ensure that any puppies are given lots of love and socialization before they come to you.  However, it is an expectation that all new owners take their puppy as soon as possible after vaccinations, to obedience and socialization classes and for as long as possible.  We can assure you that you will feel very proud of your new puppy and thoroughly enjoy taking him/her to these classes, and will not regret this commitment.

We vet new owners of our puppies thoroughly.  We expect new owners to enter into a contract with us which is designed to ensure the well being and future development of the breed.  Every puppy sold comes with a complete package including KC Registration, six weeks insurance, diet sheet and an information sheet.  All puppies are appropriately wormed.  All our puppies will come to you with their tail on as it is now illegal to dock tails (no matter what the breed) in this country.  A lifetime after sales service is offered with help and advice after the sale of a puppy.

We anticipate our next litter will be born in the latter half of 2008.  Please see details on our

Breeding Plans  page.
